As the debate rages on to decide whether or not schools should reopen this fall, parents of students slated for online learning can opt for a virtual classroom with the shores of Mexico as its backdrop. Four Seasons Punta Mita, a five-star oceanfront resort on the Pacifico coast, is now offering specialized programming designed to make distance learning more convenient and fun for both kids and parents.

The Four Seasons Punta Mita is extending its usual All Seasons kids program; now to include a tech help hotline; as well as a study buddy program; and “world-schooling” classes such as art, history, culture, and language, as well as after-school sports. With this “school cation” experience, kids won’t be stuck inside all day either. Pool and beach cabanas can be reserved and transformed into private work stations with ocean views. Each study cabana is outfitted with Wi-Fi, a TV monitor, headphones, a portable charger, a lap pad, and snacks such as fresh fruits, smoothies, and popsicles.

While the kid’s study, parents can lounge by the pool, visit the spa or take advantage of other resort amenities before the children rejoin them for some family-friendly activities once school is over. For accommodations, families can choose between the three-, four- and five-bedroom hacienda-style villas and private beach homes, allowing families to create a home-away-from-home atmosphere. Features include private pools, patios, and grilling areas, as well as daily access to a personal host who takes care of every detail throughout guests’ stays, from groceries upon arrival to special in-villa activities.

“Traveling is a life journey, as is knowledge acquisition. Learning can truly happen anywhere,” said the property’s General Manager John O’Sullivan in a statement. “At Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, we are here to support kids and parents in this new learning paradigm with educational classes inspired by our destination and caring team members to help kids with their school work.”
